Managing Testimonials
Keep your testimonial collection organized and up-to-date. Every testimonial goes through your review queue before appearing in widgets.
The Review Queue
All new testimonials — whether from collection forms, auto-scan, or imports — start with a Pending status. Nothing appears in your widgets until you approve it.
From the review queue, you can:
- Approve— Makes the testimonial available for widgets. It'll appear based on your widget's filter settings.
- Reject— Hides the testimonial from your collection. You can still see it in the "Rejected" filter if you change your mind.
- Edit first — Fix typos, clean up formatting, or add missing details before approving.
Testimonial Statuses
- Pending — Waiting for your review. Not visible in widgets.
- Approved — Visible in widgets (based on filter settings).
- Rejected — Hidden from your collection. Can be restored.
Tags & Organization
Tags help you organize testimonials and control which ones appear in which widgets. Common tagging strategies:
- By feature— "onboarding", "support", "integrations"
- By use case— "enterprise", "startup", "freelancer"
- By industry— "saas", "ecommerce", "agency"
- By quality— "featured", "homepage", "top-pick"
When creating a widget, filter by labels to show only relevant testimonials. For example, show "enterprise" testimonials on your enterprise pricing page.
Editing Testimonials
You can edit any field on a testimonial:
- Content — The testimonial text
- Author — Name, role, company
- Rating — Star rating (1-5)
- Avatar — Author photo
- Tags — Add or remove tags
- Source — Original URL if applicable
Changes take effect immediately across all widgets displaying that testimonial.
Deleting Testimonials
Delete a testimonial to remove it permanently. It'll be removed from all widgets immediately. This action cannot be undone — if you're unsure, use Reject instead to hide it.
Bulk Actions
Select multiple testimonials to approve, reject, or label them in bulk. Useful when processing a large auto-scan import or organizing an existing collection.
Search & Filters
Find specific testimonials using:
- Text search — Search content, author name, or company
- Status filter — Pending, Approved, Rejected
- Label filter — Show only testimonials with specific labels
- Source filter — Filter by import source (Trustpilot, manual, etc.)
- Rating filter — Show only 5-star reviews, for example
Project Settings
Each project has its own settings accessible from the project page:
- Project name — How it appears in your dashboard
- Website URL — Used for auto-scan discovery
- Collection form — Customize your public testimonial form
- Danger zone — Delete project and all testimonials
